In a nutshell this is how it would work. On the day of your trip you would show up at our location, once here we would take care of paperwork (all waivers should be filled out in advance, making this quick), payment (you may pay cash or credit card if it wasn’t paid in advance), fitting lifejackets, and going over your trip with you. We would then send you 10 minutes down the road to where you would meet our drivers. You would be driving into the National park and depending on where you finish they may charge a user fee, if you walk in they charge you per person per day, if you drive in they charge you per car per day.
We basically have two finish points for all of our trips. If you finish at Smithfield Beach the Park Service will charge a user fee and at this point in time if you finish at the Gap (Kittatinny access) you will not be charged a user fee, that may change in the future. There is also much less parking space at Kittatinny (The Gap), which fills up early and we haven’t been able to park here with trips starting on the weekend during the main season. Although you do pay a user fee at one point and not the other, you really should not use that to determine which trip you go on, at least it should not be a main reason to choose one trip over another. Saving a few dollars is one thing, but if it makes you choose a trip that doesn't work for your group, then it is not worth the savings. We can help you choose a proper trip based on your needs. The charge would be $10.00 per car per day, having to pay stinks but having your cars at the finish is well worth it.
Our drivers would have you load all your gear onto our vehicles and take you up to the start. Our drivers would then go over a quick orientation and you would be on your way.
When you finish up on the last day of your trip your cars will be at the finish so you can just load up your gear and head home, no waiting for a transport and then loading, unloading and loading your gear again.
